Ninth Grade Physics with Mr. Heerschap
The Instrument Project:The Rube Goldberg Project:
A Rube Goldberg is a contraption full of many steps that completes one final task. My partner Sarah Lawton and I made a Rube that closed a Physics book for it's final task! We had a total of about 10 steps with 6 simple machines. Though our project did not always run perfectly everytime, it was still a blast to build! It was awesome whenever it did work and overall a great final product.

The Rocket Project: The object for this project is to see who's rocket design goes the highest when launched on Mr. Heerschap's pressure launch pad. Ivie O'Nan and I built a basic design for our bottle rocket. We have a single bottle with three fins and a foam nose cone covered in aluminum foil. Our first practice launch went extremely well considering that the parachute got caught and never opened. It was the second highest flying rocket of the day though. During Exhibition, our rocket did not fly properly. The nozzle somehow was messed up and it made our rocket tilt on the launch pad. We ended up needing to release our rocket early and it was unsuccessful.
